I wanted to report that the Stargazer Box at the JMU Arboretum in
Harrisonburg is missing. It was apparently picked up by the folks
cleaning up the dead logs, etc.
Also, I am sad to report the Castle Box at the Smithsonian is
missing. I went yesterday afternoon about 2 p.m. and it is gone.
Leger de Maine...will you replace the next time you go sightseeing in
our fine capital? Perhaps you can embellish the new stamp with some
of your other beautiful artwork?

How sad. Could Smithsonian just have been out being stamped into
while you were there? Were you there over a period of time in case
it came back?

Are you sure someone didn't take the Castle box to stamp in? Also, there are two water fountains in the area. It is underneath the one by the handicapped entrance :-)
I was there at 9:00 a.m. Friday and it was safe and sound.

Quite sure. I was the first to stamp into the box last fall so I
know exactly where it was.

hmmm.... too bad.....I was quite stealthly (is that a word???) when I put it back. I would think that someone had it out to stamp in. Spike was to stamp in today (Sat.), so maybe he can give us a report. I do know that it has gotten quite a bit of attention this week, probably since it is school vacation week for us New Englanders.

Regarding the Castle LB at the Smithsonian, I neglected to date my
newbie report yesterday. Captain Bruce and I had the LB out between
12 noon and about 1pm. Hope this helps. Compass Rose
